In a significant effort to enhance sporting activities within the Tiko Sub-division, former Tiko United FC player Francis Elive Lyonga, alias Zambe, made a noteworthy donation of sports equipment on Wednesday, January 22.
The donation was facilitated through his mother, Comfort Lyonga, who represented him during the handover ceremony.

Receiving the equipment was the Sports and Physical Education Sub-Delegate for Tiko, Augustine Njiwah, who expressed deep gratitude for the generous contribution. Njiwah emphasized the importance of such donations in fostering a vibrant sports culture in the area. He assured that the donated equipment would be utilized effectively to promote various sporting activities among the youth in the community.

In addition to the donation, it is important to highlight the upcoming event that aims to further stimulate interest in sports among local schools. The 1st Edition of the Francis Elive Lyonga Unity, Peace and Solidarity School Games is scheduled to take place from May 10 to May 17, 2025. The games will be hosted at the G.S Upper Costain School Field in Tiko, providing an excellent platform for sporting talent to shine while promoting values of unity, peace, and solidarity among the participants.
